Scott helps senior executives and other leaders develop themselves as highly successful leaders and deliver exceptional results for their organizations. Scott has a passion for working with clients and fundamentally believes in their ability to overcome challenges and deliver exceptional results. As a member of In-Accord’s team, Scott is particularly skilled at helping clients reframe, grow their emotional intelligence (EQ), and improve psychological safety in their organizations.
Scott’s professional coaching journey began when he joined Gartner as an Executive Partner in 2012. In addition to coaching senior executives in public and private sector
organizations across multiple industries, Scott trained Executive Partners (coaches) and served as the Managing Vice President for Executive Programs. Prior to Gartner, Scott served in Partner, Managing Partner and Managing Director roles with both Andersen Consulting/Accenture and CSC where he served both private and public sector clients. Scott also has experience as a VP of Operations at a start-up, location-based services company and as CEO of a start-up sports optics company. Scott attended the University of Washington (BA, History and Russian). Graduate school in History at Indiana University (MA, History and Russian) was followed by 8 years as a Naval Intelligence Officer for the United States Navy. Following the first Gulf War, Scott served as the Director of Network Operations for US WEST NewVector Group.
Scott earned certification as a Professional Certified Coach from the International Coach Federation through the University of Texas and is also certified to offer the Winslow Human Behavior Assessment System.
Recently Scott helped a senior executive work through behavioral issues with one of her employees. Working to increase her own emotional intelligence (EQ) and that of her employee, the client successfully modified negative behaviors and retained the otherwise superior experience and skills of her employee for the organization.
Scott and his wife live in Kirkland, WA. He is a past board member for the Seattle Shakespeare Company, a Special Olympics volunteer, a member of Inglewood Golf Club where he serves on multiple committees and is also a National Course Rater for GolfWeek Magazine.
