No Incense, Just Results
A client recently emphasized their organization’s gut-level aversion to workplace improvement efforts that are fuzzy, abstract, or mushy.
So, we quickly and sheepishly turned off the Tibetan chimes soundtrack and doused the patchouli incense.
Actually, what we did was agree.
Our tagline, “We fix workplace conflict,” describes what we do but leaves unanswered the question of why. While there are innumerable reasons to restore working relationships, we’re really only selling one flavor: our mission is to help maximize your mission.
If you are in it for profit, you can’t maximize returns when productivity is sidetracked by infighting.
If you in it to help people, you can’t fully meet that mission when those in service are consumed by discord.
In-Accord is business-focused. If you invest in our support, you should gain a clear return on that investment.
Admittedly, it gives us a shot of dopamine when people who have been in ferocious disagreement end up liking each other again because of our support. But making people feel good is not what we are hired to do, and we always keep sight of that fact.
While the floral whiff of lavender and tinkling of mountain streams may add harmony in other contexts, you’ll have to bring your own. Our focus is getting people back to work.
